Our latest project, masterfully executed by our talented designer Myra Ryall and her husband Ray, exemplifies this philosophy through a sophisticated open-plan living space that harmoniously combines contemporary styling with warm, inviting elements. While Myra brings her refined eye for design and detail, Ray’s expert craftsmanship, ensures that every concept is beautifully realized in form and finish.
The Kitchen: Where Function Meets Beauty
The kitchen design demonstrates Myra’s meticulous attention to detail and her ability to source premium finishes.
Rich, walnut-toned cabinetry provides warmth and depth, while sleek built-in appliances maintain a clean, contemporary aesthetic. The stunning white countertops create a striking contrast, enhanced by an elegant copper-toned faucet that serves as both a functional fixture and a statement piece. Complementing the antique furniture throughout the home, a distinctive corten steel finish adds an industrial edge and timeless patina, bridging the gap between modern sophistication and heritage charm.
Strategic storage solutions, including floor-to-ceiling cabinetry with integrated refrigeration, ensure that every inch of space is utilized without compromising the room’s visual flow. The induction cooktop is seamlessly integrated into the island, maintaining the minimalist design ethos while providing modern cooking functionality.

Adjacent to the kitchen, the living area showcases Myra’s talent for balancing comfort with style. A sumptuous tan leather armchair, adorned with botanical-printed throw and a velvet round accent pillow, provides a cozy seating area bathed in natural light from expansive windows.
The custom-designed built-in shelving unit is a masterpiece in itself—painted in crisp white with classical paneled doors below and open shelving above. This piece elegantly houses the television while providing display space for carefully curated decorative objects, including vintage glassware and sculptural pieces. The addition of a golden moose head sculpture adds a playful yet sophisticated touch that reflects the homeowner’s personality. Each detail is brought to life through the expert craftsmanship of Myra’s husband, Ray, who personally fabricates and installs the joinery pieces, ensuring that every element aligns perfectly with Myra’s design vision.
Artful Details and Lighting
Myra’s eye for art is evident throughout the space. A carefully arranged grid of nine vintage-inspired still life prints creates a gallery wall that adds visual interest without overwhelming the serene palette. The botanical and fruit motifs echo the organic elements found in the textiles and accessories.
Lighting plays a crucial role in this design, with elegant wall sconces flanking the window treatments, creating ambient warmth during evening hours. The tailored Roman shade in a complementary neutral tone provides privacy while maintaining the refined aesthetic.
